Welcome to Husmann Elementary! We’re so excited to have you as part of our school community.
The Husmann PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization) is a group of dedicated parents and staff who work together to support our students, teachers, and school through fun events, volunteer efforts, and fundraising. From organizing family nights to helping with classroom needs, we’re here to make Husmann an even better place to learn and grow. We can’t wait to meet you and hope you’ll join us!

We love Husmann and have had so much fun putting our own spin on all of the classic PTO related things!
You will see us at pretty much every event and in the school multiple times a week.

Speaking of volunteer opportunities, we'd love to have you! There are A LOT of different ways to help. You can click here to be directed to our Volunteer page or you can click here to go straight to our signup genius that is updated with specific opportunities as we need them!

We try to make sure that our Calendar is updated as often as we are getting dates confirmed for said events. Here is a quick overview of a few events you can expect in the next few months but you can click here to be navigated to our Calendar of Events page. Once the school year starts, we'll have more concrete dates on these events!
Staff faves
Something that we added last year that was extremely popular was our Staff Faves! We reached out to our Husmann staff at the beginning of the year with a questionnaire for them to fill out. As you can see, not everyone fills it out and some opt to keep their answers private but we were told that this was a super helpful and easy way to treat our staff when it came to birthdays/holidays/just because/etc.
The home page of our website is also a super helpful place to start! You will find our latest Dine & Share, our most recent flyers that have been send home with your kids (we did this after realizing that some of our own kids weren't coming home with the flyers and instead living in their lockers all year!), our latest Facebook posts and helpful links (listed at the bottom of the page) that include immediate access to the district calendar, school lunch calendar, Husmann student directory and more!
You will also notice that we have a link to our Public folder on Google Drive. This is something that we always recommend bookmarking! Our biggest goal as a board was to make sure that we were communicating as much as possible, in as many different places as possible. In our Public folder, you will find access to all of our flyers (past, present, and even a few that haven't made it to print yet!), a copy of our newsletter, agenda/minutes/financials and more. Along with that information is a folder for you to drop photos that you've taken at our events. We use these photos in our newsletter, our website, our facebook, our yearbook and at the end of the year we add them all to our external hard drive for historical preservation purposes!
